  • Have you had experience with mexican grey wolves attacking your livestock?
  • What is you opinion of the current criteria for determining wolf kills?
  • Do you agree with the Game and fish departments opinion that wolves do not bother cattle?

  1. Tom Harkin Says:

Ranchers in Catron county have a significant lower calf crop than before…they know that they are animal kills but the criteria to prove a kill is so restrictive as to be illegal. A man has a right to protect his property

  2. Richard Simonson Says:

Cattle should not even be on public lands. Wolves are there naturally…cattle aren’t!!!

  3. T Self Says:

Mr. Simonson states that wolves are there naturally? It took my anscestors one hundred years to eradicate the wolves so that they could protect their livestock the first time. So called environmentalists have re-introduced the wolf so that nature would be balanced, what a bunch of baloney. When are these people going to understand that man is on this earth to have dominion over it? You can’t run cattle and wolves in the same area. I say re-eradicate the wolf!

Fact of the matter is the Mexican wolf is a plains animal. They were never very many and they did not spend any quality time in forested areas. Once their numbers were so low they readily interbreeded with coyotes and dogs. This made them less fearful of humans.

The Wolves we have now are so habituated it isn’t even funny. They have been raised in zoos for over 30 years and feed by humans. They continue to feed them even after they are turned loose. What may you ask? Zoo logs. What is a zoo log? Made mostly of horsemeat! Now if that isn’t habituation I don’t know what is.

    Thank you Josh:

one of my colleagues told me a story of how the USFWS employees were buying Carnivore logs out of their own pocket to feed the the Mexican grey wolves. I find it it hilarious that they speak of “natural selection’, “evolution”, and the like out one side of their face, and then scramble to feed their wolves just in case that’s not a fact!! My opinion is that we should let natural selection take place. Coyotes have an open bounty on them and yet there are coyotes everywhere…they adapted, modified and “evolved” to live in a changing world. If a species can’t adapt, then they die off….simple as that.
